Potchefstroom Studio Workshop Cover Competition
On Saturday 7 May 2011 we attended a Studio Workshop hosted by Emil Wessels and Graham Robertson Photographic. We issued a challenge to those who attended to see who could shoot the best cover for PhotoComment Magazine. There are two chances to win, the first will be judged by the organisers and the second by public vote. The two winning images will each feature on the cover of PhotoComment Magazine as well as have the photographers portfolio featured in that issue. See the entries in the gallery below and vote for your favourite.
This competition is open until 31 May 2011 for uploading and voting will close on 30 June 2011.
If you were at the workshop you can download the PhotoComment Cover Template (Right Click and “Save As’) and then Enter Here

Hi there! Are we supposed to rate each photo if we vote, or only those we want to vote for?
Use the rating to vote for your favourite images. The winner will be decided by the number of ratings the image receives not necessarily the overall rating.
Maybe the paricipants should not vote. We will all be biased
I agree on the participants not voting for their own images. Each person is only allowed one vote per image. Votes from people on their own images will not be counted. I don’t see a problem with the participants voting for other images.
Thanks for that Greg. I believe that friends may rate friends higher and not reflect the “true” good image. I personally would prefer it best left to the pros, I am sure they all deserve to win. Each candidate that was on the workshop I am sure shot his/her best portraiture shot in their life (maybe I speak for myself).
This being said, I really enjoyed myself, and can’t wait for the next one.
The competition is split into two categories. One image will be chosen by the organizers and one image by user votes.
