They seem to have teamed up with street trial pro rider (ask Greg for more details, he’s been in the mountain bike, BMX scene before) Danny MacAskill who is exploring the mother city (Cape Town) and doing some crazy stunts. What the video and vote on what stunt you want Danny to perform next. You could win yourself a Leica. For more check out the Leica Blog. Voting for the above second video (part 2) ends on May 24th.
In brief, the competition is aimed at raising awareness through the photographic medium, of child welfare issues in and around the City of Tshwane, although I am certain you will agree that these are fairly universal.

After a great deal of deliberating by the judges we have finally come to the point where we can announce our winner of the Photo Friday Competition for the period ending January 2011. The image ‘Flag Store Front’ seems to have within it a mystery that held many of us spell bound. I personally keep asking myself questions like “What is it trying to tell us? What could be hiding behind the door?” and out of a great selection of images this one kept attracting my gaze time and time again.
We have a winner, congratulations Allie van Niekerk who wins our Foto First and Fuji sponsored Dissposible Camera Competition at the Pretoria CBD Photo Walk we held on the 26th January 2011. We will arrange to get your Foto First voucher to you shortly.
Our apologies for not announcing this earlier as we planned, technical issues were the cause of the delay but that is coming right with our upgrades to the servers.
Stay posted for details of the next Photo Walk on 12 Feb 2011 in Parys
It has been one of the toughest weeks yet but the image that had the most impact for me at the end was this image of a Flag Store Front. Congratulations.

We’re not sure if the feeling is unique to us – though we doubt it – but it seems that each year Christmas feels a little less… Christmaslike than the year before.
