This weekend is the annual Scott Kelby World Wide Photo Walk. Due to personal reasons PhotoComment team will not be hosting a Photo Walk as previously hoped however we strongly encourage everyone to check out for their nearest walk on the official World Wide Photo Walk website and register there to attend, they are great fun.

Okay, the website of the week is a little late today but here it is. As we have spoken about previously, this coming Saturday 24th July 2010, is the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk. We have picked this site so you can make sure you are booked on a walk and know how to get the best out of it. If you haven’t registered for a walk then head over here.

This week we have a second site as a pick, that relates to the first. Photo Africa run workshops and photographic safaris for African wildlife target to amateurs and seasoned professionals. It is also the home of Gerry van der Walt who is the walk leader for the Melville, Johannesburg Worldwide Photo Walk.




I recently took the time to go through Scott Kelby’s – The Digital Photography Book Volume 1 – in my search for a good book to recommend novices who have a basics photographic grounding but are looking to get a little bit more out of there images. Here are my thoughts on the book, and be sure to get the details of how you can win your own copy at the end of the review.

It is back for the third year and we are sure going to be a part of it. Last year we found out about the Worldwide Photowalk just too late but this year we have the details early. Its happening 24 July 2010. There are currently 4 walks planned in South Africa. More details will be in the June issue of PhotoComment Magazine out later this week.
